It’s true Mr Belafonte. I’ts true with Rappers and Actor’s. People that have a platform to set an example , or speak out against the injustice’s just don’t care ! There was a time when Athlete ‘s spoke out against Racism and injustice. That just doesn’t happen anymore . When you look at people like Bill O ‘Reilly, ONE OF AMERICA’S TOP RACISTS, He speaks out against Rappers who get top dollar deals with companies like McDonald’s , and has their contracts Terminated .We allow people like Micheal Jordan to get paid in the community , but never speak up when it’s necessary. I can think of so many who has robbed the hood and never whisper when there is social injustice. So we have NO role models but we have a whole lot of sneakers !

When blacks dominate a lot of the sports and entertainment media and white folks have their children idolizing these black stars with posters, clothes, autographs, etc., the dollars paid and for those who get endorsements made,(when ever they do a commercial for a product it’s always a predominately white kids or grown-ups for that matter). MJ didn’t and wouldn’t say a word. Bill Cosby back during the turbulent 60’s wouldn’t dare open his mouth about anything positive for black people not to hurt his income. So what’s different?
