Most people know the story of Rosa Parks, a black, middle-aged seamstress who refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama back in 1955. But Long before Parks earned her title as the “mother of the civil rights movement,” she wrote a detailed account of nearly being raped by a white neighbor who employed her as a housekeeper in 1931.READ THE REST OF THIS ENTRY →

    this historic information (Ms. Parks’ papers) should be given to the Schomburg library, The most comprehensive library on African American history. Her papers should join the history of Malcolm X at this historic venue

    This information should be at the Civil Rights Museum in Birmingham, AL; Montgomery, AL or Memphis, TN…We as black people with these shady relatives and lawyers, always allow our treasures to end up on the auction block or in white’s hands…Look at what happen to Malcolm X’s and Dr Betty Shabazz’s information? This is tragic what we’re becoming….
